Knight Shift - Chapter 1: Demo Redux - RELEASE!


After months of slaving away doing art with a mouse, refactoring old events and scripts and generally making a ton of QoL improvements and updates, Knight Shift: Chapter 1 Demo (Redux) is finally out and ready for playtesting. This is kind of a pre-launch launch of the demo to give me time to find bugs. Please reach out if you're interested in doing some more playtesting and getting your feedback folded into the game as a whole!

Major new features for this version include:

  • A full facelift - no more RTP assets!
  • A ton of fixes and improvements to old content based on feedback on the original demo release
  • Quality of life improvements such as a Quest Journal, and clearer conveyance
  • New items, areas, quests, dungeons and bosses
  • A metric buttload of bugfixes!

But we're not gonna stop there. Still on the list of things to do at some point are:

  • Icons and animations
  • New sound effects
  • Full character profile pages including original artwork
  • A big ol' manual
